Early Life
Born on 10 March 1939 in Hyderabad, Shri Kantilal Ji belonged to the respected Shivdatt Rai Gulab Rai family. His father, Seth Gulab Rai, and his mother, Smt. Gomati Devi, instilled in him values of honesty, discipline, compassion, and service from an early age.
He completed his primary education at Shivdatt Rai High School before pursuing higher studies at Osmania University. Although he entered the business world at a young age, his education shaped his broader vision of creating opportunities for others through learning and community service.
Even in his formative years, he demonstrated qualities of leadership, determination, and empathy that later became the foundation of his life's work.
Entrepreneurial Journey
Shri Kantilal Ji believed that economic development and social progress go hand in hand.
Through relentless effort and visionary leadership, he played a key role in establishing textile mills and steel rolling mills in Hyderabad. Under his leadership, these industries expanded successfully, creating employment opportunities for both local residents and migrant workers.
His entrepreneurial success was never viewed as a personal achievement alone. Instead, he saw business as a means to strengthen society by creating livelihoods, supporting families, and contributing to regional development. His industries became symbols of responsible entrepreneurship, where growth was measured not only in financial success but also in the number of lives positively impacted.

He also championed initiatives that enabled deserving and underprivileged children to receive education without financial barriers, believing that talent should never be limited by circumstance.
Commitment to Social Service
For Shri Kantilal Ji, philanthropy was not an occasional act of charity but a lifelong responsibility.
He actively supported individuals and families facing financial hardship, extending assistance with compassion and dignity. He contributed generously toward the marriages of underprivileged girls, educational assistance, and community welfare initiatives. Understanding that hunger and poverty remain significant social challenges, he regularly organized community meal services that provided free food to approximately 1,500 to 1,800 people.
His humanitarian work also extended to healthcare, where he offered support to hospitals including:

One of his notable contributions was supporting the construction of Kantilal Vaibhav Sankar Bhavan, a community hall within the Shiv Temple at Moazzam Jahi Market, Hyderabad, which continues to serve devotees and community members.
